With the help of others, over the past five years, I have founded and published, The Independent Gazette, Buffalo Head Media, The NEPA Visitor, and Seeker Magazine, for which I am very proud.
I have been active in politics for most of my adult life and strive with passion for a more open and transparent media. With the help of partner Lori Bogedin, and many others behind the scenes we are moving forward with the independent media organization, Buffalo Head Media. My intent for Buffalo Head Media is to adhere to strict, authentic, and trustworthy journalism, because it is my life's passion. I want to create a well-respected independent journalistic media outlet focusing on educating the public regarding stories and issues often not discussed in today's biased and controlled media. I was born in New York City and raised on Long Island and gratefully enjoyed a wonderful childhood. I was blessed with great parents, a brother, two sisters, and a close extended family. I attended Fordham University on a full baseball scholarship and graduated with a degree in accounting. Upon graduating from Fordham, I enjoyed a successful, but brief stint in the corporate world, before heading on out to Montana, to try my hands as a businessman. |
When I got to Montana I worked in lumber mills, which was a great start before building a log cabin style restaurant, bar, motel, with a trailer park, just a short distance outside of Yellowstone Park. I married and, along with my wife, raised our two children in the great expanses of Montana. I was elected to the school board and subsequently became very active in politics and the liberty movement.
After 20 years, I decided to returned East, where again, I enjoyed a very successful, brief stint in the corporate world. From there I built a thriving transport company with a close friend and partner in Totowa, New Jersey, which ultimately employed 50 people. Once again, I became active in politics, running for New Jersey State Representative, and US Congress in New Jersey's 8th Congressional District.
After my partner's untimely death while in the vehicle transportation business, I moved my family to Northeastern Pennsylvania, where I found a passion for media. My belief for a democratic republic to survive, is that it must have a free and independent press along with unbiased media outlets.
I opened the barn that is on my property in Factoryville, Pennsylvania several years ago to house a new venture, the Red Barn Rocks. I sell an eclectic array of minerals, crystals, and gifts. I also work on making the land I own alongside the Tunkhannock Creek a place where people can come and enjoy nature. It is now called the future home of Jasikoff Hydroponic Greenhouse.
That is where life finds me today, still loving life and moving forward. I have five amazing grandchildren. Love to travel North America, extensively going from place to place and I am planning many more trips.
I like to quote the late John Denver when he sang words I lives by, "It's been a good life, all in all."
It sure is and there's still so much to do!

Quote from Justice Warren E. Burger“... ours is a sick profession marked by incompetence, lack of training, misconduct and bad manners. Ineptness, bungling, malpractice, and bad ethics can be observed in court houses all over this country every day ... these incompetents have a seeming unawareness of the fundamental ethics of the profession. ... the harsh truth is that ... we may well be on our way to a society, overrun by hordes of lawyers, hungry as locusts, and brigades of judges in numbers never before contemplated.
~ Justice Warren E. Burger (1907-1995) Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1969-1986)
